Youngest Casualty:

No father, no mothdr, no
relatives anywhere—this is the tragedy of the youngest
casualty of the Nazi terror. He is one of the 6,000
orphans in France cared for in children's homes sup-
ported by the Joint DiStribution Committee, an agency
of the United • Jewish Appeal which derives its funds
in Detroit from the Allied Jewish Campaign through
the War Chest of Metropolitan Detroit.

Clothes for the Needy :

Permitted by the government
of Canada to collect 52,000 suits, overcoats, windbreakers and
blankets, the Canadian Jewish Congress has sponsored the
, gathering of the used articles for Jewish war victims over- _
seas. The Montreal quota was raised within two weeks. 'The
photograph on the left shows the mountains of clothing
being packed for shipment overseas. This relief project is
closely integrated with the refugee assistance program of
the American Jewish Joint Distribution, Committee.
