The editorial scores the Ottawa Government for its strange procedure in denying, during election, reports that it would release Archand, and then releasing him soon after the ballots were counted. At hearings preceding his in- ternment, the presiding judge declared that "the evidence adduced there were ample signs of overt treason," the Chronicle says. "Only a trial, if anything at all, can so exonerate him as to entitle him to free intercourse with the members of a noble generation of Ca- nadians." An experimental laboratory, where the corpses of German death camp victims were converted into soap, has been found, on grounds covered with hundreds of human skulls and bones, near Danzig, M. S.
