now in its 18th successful year of

Work for Children
They have never known peace
and security—the young Jewish
orphans of Europe—but they are
not forgotten. J.D.C., expressing
the heartfelt sympathy and in-
terest of American Jews, is using
every means possible to reunite
these children with their parents
if they are still living or, if the
children are orphans, to provide
Jewish homes and institutions
for them. Nearly one-half • of
J.D.C.'s 1945 appropriations thus
far—which in the first six
months of this year total almost
$13,500,000-7are being used for
work with children.

`Anglo-Israelites'
Map War on Jews

NEW YORK, (JTA) —Dis clo-
sure of what transpired at a
"national anti-Semitic confer-
ence" held in " Los. Angeles last
month under the auspices of the
"United Israelites;" or, as they
sometimes call themselves, the
"Anglo-Israelites," is made in the
newspaper PM. -
The paper reveals that 1,000 to
1,500 delegates attended the con-
ference which was featured by
numerous anti-Semitic speeches,
in which Jews were described
variously as "liars," "murderers"
and "skunks." It was announc-
ed that "a funeral service" would
soon be held for the Jews, and
those present were urged to "get
their guns" and prepare to fight
the Jews.
The Anglo-Israelites claim
that the Gentiles, rather than
the Jews, are God's chosen peo-
ples, and that the Jews are im-
posters and "not the seed of
Abraham." The leaders of the
movement are reported to be
cooperating with Gerald L. K.
smith.
