MR. AND MRS HENRY G. PLITT, of New
York City, lookirig proudly at a photograph
of their son, MAJ. OENRY'G. PLITT JR., who commanded the U. S. Army unit
which captured the notorious Julius Streicher, Nati Jew-baiter, 40 miles west of

The 7th • War Lome'
still has a week to
go to make its goal.
Michigan and the
entire country are
short of established
quotas. Our concert-
ed efforts can pat it
over the top. Let us
buy those extra bonds
to assure its success
for the sake of our
freedoms and demo-
cratic ideals.

Announcement of the reconstitu-
tion of the United Jewish Appeal
should be hailed by all American
Jews as a tritunph for unity in
American Israel.
The tragic events which demand
unprecedented action for the reha-
bilitation of the survivors from
Nazism call for unity of purpose in
providing the means for relief work
in Europe, reconstruction of Pales-.
tine and rehabilitation of refugees.
Through united efforts, we have a
chance to guarantee the rescue of
hundreds of thousands of Jews. If
we are split in our purposes, these
lives are threatened. Let us strive
to strengthen the spirit of unity.

The wheels
are hum-
ming in Palestine factories today—preparing foods and
other essentials for starving destitute Jews in Europe,
The Joint Distribution Committee is greatly stimulating
this industry by its purchases in Palestine, amounting
to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Made in Palestine:

Refugees line up at
their internment
camp in Italy—answering the
call of free men. Their rehabilita-
