Dr. Julius H. Greenstone has just
been issued in Philadelphia in
honor of Dr. Greenstone's 70th
birthday.
Haying reached his 70th year
in 1943, a group of his friends,
former pupils and colleagues
formed a committee under • the
chairmanship of J. C. Gutman
and the imposing volume is the
result of their efforts.
Dr. Greenstone has been a
prominent Jewish educator since
1900, when he came to Philadel-
phia. Soon thereafter he joined
the Faculty of Gratz College, of
which he became the principal
in 1933. From 1925 to 1942, he
was connected with the Jewish
Exponent of Philadelphia, con-
tributing, apart from editorials,
a weekly column under the title
"Of Men and Things."
The volume is not for sale.
