BNAI BRITH YOUNG WO-
MEN of Louis Marshall will hold
installation and initiation cere-
monies this Sunday at 8:30 p. m.,
in the Butzel Hall of the Jewish
Center.

The next regular meeting of
the NEUGARTEN MEDICAL
AID will be held at the Jewish
Center, on Monday. The board
will meet at 11 a. jn., following
which a dessert luncheon will be
served. The business meeting will
start at 1:30 and the afternoon
will be concluded with games.
Members of the war efforts com-
mittee served brunch Sunday at
the Center. Hostesses were: Mrs.
Samuel Gale, Mrs. Albert P.
Weiss, Mrs. Harry Steinberg and
Mrs. A. Rosenthal. Those desir-
ing to assist in USO activities are
asked to call Mrs. Lester Smith.

made for the HOME RELIEF SO-
CIETY membership tea to be held
at the home of Mrs. Morris Ros-
enberg, 19271 Strathcona Drive,
Monday at 12:30 p. m. Mrs.
Peter Miller, is hostess chairman;
Mrs. Al Weisman program chair-
man, Mrs. Morris Rosenberg and
Mrs. Julius Englander, member-
ship chairmen. Mrs. Gertrude
Oberstein will review "A Bell for
Adano" by John Hershey. Mem-
bers are urged to bring new
paid up members.

BROCHA GOLDSTEIN AUXIL-
IARY of the Jewish Consump-
tive Relief Society was held May
16, at the home of Mrs. Max
Rosenfeld, 4000 Cortland. Mrs.

delegate to the annual conven-
tion in Denver.

participating in the 7th War

cilities Hospital in Dearborn on
May 17, and distributed gifts to
all the patients. Those who

the auxiliary; Henrietta Niman,
Esther Tenzer, Lillian Sachs,
Ann Leiser, Bertha Schaap, Fan-
nie Caplan, Tillie Klein and
Birdeye Rosenberg, president of
the group.

SOCIETY, announces the annual
Mothers' and Daughters' lunch-

ZUCKERMAN - ALLENDAR:
The marriage of Miss Gloria Al-
lendar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Reuben Allendar of Warrington
Rd., and Morton Bruce Zucker-
man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Zuckerman of New York City,
was solemnized Sunday afternoon
at the Shaarey Zedek synagogue.
Dr. A. M. Hershman performed
the ceremony, assisted by Cantor
Jacob Sonenklar and the choir.
The bride, who was lovely in
her ice blue satin gown and
fingertip veil, carried a Bible to
which were attached whit e
orchids and streamers of lilies
of the valley.
The matron of honor, Mrs.
Morton Metzger of New York
City, and the bridesmaids, Mrs.
Jack Matis, also of New York
City, Mrs. Joseph Allendar, Mrs.
Hartley Maldaver, Miss Frances
Goldberg, Miss Ruth Goldberg
and Miss Arline Kutzen, were
gowned alike in dusty pink and
carried bouquets of pink carna-
tions tied with blue ribbon.
Joseph Allendar, the bride's
brother, served as best man, and
the ushers were Joseph Roth,
Frank Allendar, Morton Metzger,
Stanley Kolko, Stanley Wurtz-
berg and Hartley Maldaver.
A dinner at the Whittier fol-
lowed the ceremony after which
the young couple left on a Cana-
dian cruise. They will make their
home in New York City.

WEISS-SHRIER: At a candle-
light ceremony Saturday even-
ing, May 12, Shirley Shrier,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alter
Shrier, was married to William
Nolan Weiss, son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Weiss. Dr. B. Benedict
Glazer officiated.

and Mrs. Isador Goldstein of

CHARLES L. GOLDSTEIN,
president of Temple Israel, ad-
dressed the Men's Club of Rock-
dale Ave. Temple, Cincinnati,
Wednesday, on the subject "The
Quest for Justice." He was ac-
companied on his trip, for a visit
to Hebrew Union College and
the Union of American Hebrew
Congregations, by Mrs. Gold-
stein, Mrs. Samuel B. Danto, Mr.
and Mrs. Jacob A. Citrin and
Miss Anna Oxenhandler.

"Everybody's Crazy," a mys-
tery thriller, was presented by
the graduating class of Central
High Thursday evening and will
be given again this Friday at
8:15 p. m. in the auditorium.
Included in the cast under the
direction of Manuel Simon are:
Marion Aaron, Jackson Black,
Audrey Gelfand, Rosalie Gor-
back, Richard Kaplan, Jeannette
Katz, Sheldon Krause, Charlotte
Kruger, Claire Neback, Pearl

Max Levy appeared as vocal-
ist on May 22 at the American
Day program of the Jewish War
Veterans at their headquarters
in the Abington Theater Bldg. on
12th and Seward. Miss Leiser
also appeared at the musicale
given by Mr. Levy for his stud-
ents on May 6 at his home on
Collingwood Ave.

Literary Club Plans
Luncheon Tuesday

The Literary Club will hold
a luncheon and card party at
12:30 next Tuesday in the Tower
Room of Women's Guild in the
Metropolitan Bldg., 33 John R,
to raise funds for the translation
and publication of the Black
Book into 14 languages.
A sum of $5,000 has been pledg-
ed by the Council of Reading
Circles with which the Literary
Club is affiliated.

ance movement, the Bnai Brith
Vocational Service Bureau is of-
fering two fellowships of $500
each during the calendar year
1945 to college seniors or grad-
uates interested in and qualified
for graduate study in vocational
guidance.
