War Efforts Party
Of Congress Women
At Kern's on June 13
The annual war efforts party
of the Women's Division of the
American Jewish Congress will
be held June 13, 12:30 p. m., in
the auditorium of Ernst Kern Co.
Mrs. Sidney Sidell, chairman,
and Mrs. Saul LeVine, co-chair-
man, announce that a dessert
luncheon will be served and
prizes presented.
Participants in a dramatic skit
under the direction of Mrs. Wil-
liam Gottesman are Mesdames
Samuel Blondy, Saul LeVine,
Sam Margolis and Ben Abrams.
Proceeds will be allocated to
USO activity, Defense Houses,
Serve-A-Camp in Hawaii, and
Army and Navy Relief Funds.

Of Jewish Survivors
The Jewish Social Service
Bureau is in receipt of additional
lists of Jewish survivors in
Europe, compiled by the Jewish
Telegraphic Agency and the
World Jewish Congress and con-
sist of the following:
Survivors in Bed Godesberg,
Germany; list of additional Jew-
ish survivors in Kowno; 244 Jew-
ish women liberated from three
German camps, Verl, Kaunitz
and Westfalen; 69 Jewish offi-
cers of the Polish Army liber-
ated as a prisoner of Germany.
One, Capt. Ignatz Solomon from
Katowice wishes to establish
contact with Norbert Kelin, 2080
W. Euclid; 800 Jewish slave lab-
orers liberated from a Nazi
munitions factory in Altenberg,
Saxony.
The lists may be consulted at
the office from Monday thru
Friday, 8:30 a. m. to 4 p. m., at

Fund Raising Affair
Council Makes Appeal
For Jewish Volunteers
To Help Sort Clothes
The Women's Auxiliary of the
Maimonides Medical Society will
hold its annual fund raising
party in Kern's auditorium, Mon-
day at 12:30. Luncheon will pre-
cede the card games.
At the request of officials for
Detroit's collection of clothing for
the UNRRA, the Jewish Com-
munity Council has appealed to
its constituent organizations to
muster volunteers to help sort
the record collection of clothing.
Detroit leads the country in
collection of clothing for the
liberated countries with 10,000,-
000 pounds.
