on May 14. Mrs. Harry Singer
was in charge. The program was

vich Bnai Brith Girls helped with
the serving.

LADIES' AID SOCIETY. has
made contributions to the Jew-
ish National Fund, Red Cross,
War Chest, Gewerkshaften and
other worthy causes. The group
is planning a series of bridge
parties. Mrs. H. Epstein is chair-
man of this project and is being
assisted by Mrs. L. Alter and
Mrs. L. Zager.

CIL of Detroit is sponsoring
their first annual fund raising
affair, a carnival, on Saturday,
June 2, at the Jewish Center at
8:30 p. m. There will be booths,
dancing, refreshments, a n d

tion, will hold a Mother and
Daughter Tea this Sunday, at
3:30 at the Jewish Center. The
program will include a review
of Lester Cohen's book, "Coming
Home," by Mrs. Emory Monash.

Neugarten Medical
Aid Plans Affair
For Servicemen Here

Mrs. Charles A. Aller, presi-
dent of the Neugarten Medical
Aid, was hostess to the war
efforts committee at her home
on Oakman Blvd. Plans and
dates for USO work were dis-
cussed.
On May 30, the group will
give an evening party for ser-
vicemen at the Belcrest. On
June 17, they will serve brunch
at the Jewish Center and on
June 25, they will be in charge
at the Downtown USO. On July
6, a committee will go to Rom-
ulus Field to serve as hostesses.
Anyone interested in assisting
in this work is asked to contact
Mrs. Lester Smith, war efforts
chairman, or the co-chairman,
Mrs. Morris Roth and Mrs. Mor-
ton Grass.
The executive committee will
meet on May 21, at 12:30, at the
home of Mrs. Lawrence Blau,
18509 Pennington. Mrs. H. H.
Herz will serve as co-hoStess.
The board will meet at 11 a.
m. on May 28, prior to the reg-
ular meeting to be held at the
Jewish Center. The dessert
luncheon will be followed by a
business meeting and an after-
noon of games.

20th Anniversary
Luncheon on Monday

News is to be guest speaker at
the 20th anniversary celebration
of the Women's Auxiliary of the
Jewish Home for Aged, in the
Crystal Ballroom of the Book
Cadillac Hotel, Monday at .12 .30
in the form of a luncheon, Mrs.
Samuel Weller, chairman, an-
nounces.
In addition, a movie of the
moving day, from the old home
to the new will be shown. Mrs.
Morris Adler will greet the
guests of the day on behalf of
the Auxiliary.

JWEWO Unit Plans
12th Annual Luncheon

North Woodward Branch of
the Jewish Women's European
Welfare Organization met at the
home of Mrs. H. Slatkin on May
15, to make arrangements for
the 12th annual luncheon shower
to be held on June 13, at the
Bnai Moshe.
Proceeds will be used to
clothe the 350 orphan girls
housed in the General Israel
Home in Palestine. Admission is
$1 and $5, for donors. The com-
mittee in charge consists of

Society Dinner, May 27

Florence Naimark, president
of Junior Home Relief Society,
announces that the annual
Mothers' and Daughters' lunch-
eon will be held Sunday, May 27
