Labor Party's Resolution He pointed out that the British Labor Party has passed a resolu- tion requesting "more than we Zionists had hoped for or dared to ask. They suggested that the boundaries o f Palestine b e changed to include more terri- tory and that the Palestinian Arabs be encouraged to move elsewhere." "The historic process is in our favor", asserted Mr. Lewisohn, "for there can be no healing of any wounds until Eretz Yisroel is independently and undeniably ours". However, to realize our dream we must buy up all the land through the Jewish Na- tional Fund, for purchasing the _land is repossessing it, and ac- cording to Mr. Lewisohn, this is the practical way of rebuilding our homeland. LUDWIG LEWISOHN Rabbi Eisendrath Views New Pattern In American Judaism NEW _YORK, (JTA)—A new_ pattern of American Judaism may emerge after the war as a result of the events of the past few years, Rabbi Maurice Eisen- drath, director of the Union of American Hebrew Congrega- tions, said here recently. Rabbi Eisendrath based this observation on a nation-wide tour during which he visited 320 Reform congregations affiliated with the union, and on reports from Jewish chaplains with the armed forces. He said that while almost half of the chaplains are Reform rabbis, 90 percent of the Jewish servicemen are from or- thodox families, and, as a result, "compromise" services and ob- servances have been evolved which may lead to changed con- cepts after the war. They issue a warning against the renewal of the con- spiracy of the Fehme—the mys- terious Nazi officers' terrorist organization. Inspired Fear, Terror "The Plot Against the Peace" warns that the Fehme for cen- turies inspired fear and terror in Germany; that it "directly paved the way for Nazism"; that "the new Fehme of the Nazi officers' corps is not only operating in Europe, it also is operating in America." The volume is a significant historical record of destructive Nazi activities. It provides back- ground material for the study of the present problems in the study of issues leading to a last- ing peace. It describes the Ger- man policy of "Genocide"— aimed at killing an entire race for the destructive purposes of the Nazis. (The authors point out that the term "genocide" was coined by Raphael Lemkin in his book "Axis Rule in Occu- pied Europe" • and is 'derived from the Greek word "genos," meaning 'race" and the Latin "Cide" meaning "killing"). The warning against Nazi tricks and attempts to sabotage the present peace efforts is based, in the Sayers-Kahn book, on ati evaluation of the tricks that were resorted to by Ger- mans after the last war. The fake trials of war criminals in 1921, in Germany, are described, and the resume of past conspira- cies by GerMans, as indicated in "The Plot Against the Peace," should serve to put leaders of the United Nations on guard against future trickery. Quoting the United Nations leaders' declaration at the Cri- mea Conference, the two authors declare that "the world must never forget the crimes of the German General Staff."
