Jewish News Among 25 Papers
Barring Pleasure Travel Items

In accordance with the rulings of the ODT, which discourage
civilian non-essenial pleasure travel during war-time, The Jewish
News, in collaboration with 25 of the leading English-Jewish
periodicals in this country, is eliminating from its columns any
reference to non-essential civilian travel.
The American Association of English-Jewish Newspapers has
gone on record unanimously opposing the publicizing of non-
essential travel.
The Jewish News therefore limits its social announcements
to vital statistics—Marriages, Engagements, Births; travel an-
nouncements about servicemen, servicemen's parents and relatives
who visit their sons or daughters in active service; and announce-

ments about students.
