On Weizmann
Next Friday
"Chaim Weizmann, Scientist,
Statesman, Nation-Builder," the
book published to celebrate the
70th anniversary of the great
Jewish leader, will be the theme
of Rabbi Leon Fram's lecture at
the Sabbath Eve services of
Temple Israel Friday night,
April 6, at 8:30, in the Auditor-
ium of the Detroit Institute of
Arts.
The volume was edited by
Meyer W. Weisgal,- and it con-
tains an introduction by Felix
Frankfurter. .
Rabbi Fram will summarize
the interpretations which many
great men and women have of-
fered on the significance of
Chaim Weizmann's contributions
to science, to statesmanship and
to the solution of the problems
of the Jewish people.
Lecture Timely Now
This lecture is timely in view
of the probability that the plight
of the Jewish people will be

to plead for the fulfillment of
the Balfour promise of a Jewish
homeland in Palestine.

ed by Dan Frohman, will sing
traditional Sabbath melodies in
support of Cantor Robert S.
Tulman, while Karl W. Haas will

Auditorium organ.
The services will be followed
by a symposium on the topic:
"What may the Jewish 'people
expect of the San Francisco Con-
ference?"

follow the faith from which our

fascinated and inspired by the
