A. M. Klein's
Great Poems
Magnificent Collection of
• His Latest Works Issued
By Publication Society
Abraham M. Klein, who is a
practicing attorney in Montreal,
Canada, has for years gained
fame as a poet of note. His
works have appeared in Hebrew
and Jewish periodicals and it can
be stated with certainty that
they have justifiably been given
a position of first rank in Jewish
literary criticisms.
Mr. Klein has again been shown
worthy of top rank consideration
as a result of his magnificent set
of poems which has just been
published by the Jewish Publica-
tion Society of America.
The new Publication Society's
voluMe is divided into three por-
tions under the following titles:
The Psalter of Avram Haktani,
A voice was heard in Ramah,
Yehuda Halevi, His Pilgrimage.
Each of these rises to high
standards and reveals • Mr. Klein
as a great Jewish poet.
Mr. Klein may well be called
a Hassid and his Jewish devotion
and his adherence to tradition
places him on a par with the
ablest interpreters of Jewish
thought of our time.
A typical example of his in-
terpretive genius is the brief
poem which he dedicates to
Lamed Vav which he calls "A

The poems by Mr. Klein are
another indication of the import-
ance to American cultural life of
the Jewish Publication Society
which has made possible the pub-
lishing of the most significant
books written by Jews. Mr.
Klein's volume is available as a
