Rabbi Joshua Sperka of Con-
gregation Bnai David will con-
tinue in the Jewish Radio Pulpit
over WWJ and broadcast a Pass-
over sermon. The broadcast has
been scheduled for Tuesday,
March 27, at 1:45 p. m. over Sta-
tion WWJ. The topic of Rabbi
Sperka's sermon will be "The
Festival of Freedom."
He will analyze the meaning
of Passover, emphasizing that
this historic festival symbolizes
the first fight against slavery
and for freedom, and the impli-
cation of our present continuity
for the fight for freedom.
Rabbi Sperka will also be
heard at the noon prayer on Fri-
day, March 23, over WWJ, at 12
o'clock noon, and on alternate
Fridays following.

Devoted to Passover

By special request, the Eternal
Light Radio Program, presented
as an NBC public service by the
Jewish Theological Seminary of
America, will devote its March
25 and April 1 programs to pre-
Passover and Passover drama-
tizations.
The regular program will be
resumed immediately after Pass-
over with dramatizations of the
lives of Theodor Herzl and Hen-
rietta Szold on April 8 and April
15, respectively.
The broadcast is nationwide
from NBC, New York, 11-11:30
A.M., (E.W.T.) and over WEAF,
New York, at 12 noon.

Get $50,000 Quota
For 7th Bond Drive

Detroit Bnai Brith Young Wo-
men have accepted a $50,000
quota for their Seventh War Loan
drive, after having successfully
completed selling bonds totalling
$15,000 with which to purchase
an LB-5 Stinson Ambulance
Plane.

Deborah, Rebecca Gratz, Na-
omi and Louis Marshall auxiliar-
ies have each pledged to sell
$12,500 in bonds during this drive
from March 20 to April 20.
The young women of Bnai
Brith also are actively engaged
in preparing overseas kits and
scrapbooks for the libraries of
convalescent hospitals in the
Michigan vicinity.
