low a dessert luncheon at which

TERNITY AID pledged $1,000 to
the Jewish Hospital for a room,
redeemed a dunarn of land in
Palestine through the Jewish Na-
tional Fund, contributed to Rus-
sian War Relief for medicines and
drugs and to the Polish-Jewish
relief fund.

Sigrid Ruby, war service chair-
man, urges members to bring
cookies for Percy Jones Hospital
to this meeting. The lodge has
sent 64 dozen to the hospital.
Mrs. Ruby also reports that 10
dozen cup cakes and 10 gallons
of ice cream were = sent to the
base hospital at Ft. Wayne.

manship of Mrs. Emanuel Lieb-

Moses Weiser. Funds will be
Used to build homes to care for
children in Raanana, Palestine,
ninety per cent ,of whom are
orphans.

Norman Conn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Saul J. Conn of ,.Fullerton
Ave., left for the Air Corps on March 1. A party to celebrate his

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Levine of Santa Barbara Dr. entertained
Saturday in honor of their daughter, Marian, who celebrated her
fifth birthday. Thirty of her friends attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gilbert of Arden Park were hosts to a
group of friends at a dinner in their home last Saturday evening.
James Rubiner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rubiner of Chicago
Blvd. has left for Great Lakes Naval Training Center.
Pfc, Gerald Gordon will leave Sunday for his post at LeMoore
Field, Cal., after spending his furlough with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Benjamin Gordon of Leslie Ave. He recently was graduated
from the Army Air Force Gunnery School in Harlingen, Tex.
Capt. Allen Stiglitz, who recently returned from 31 months
in Egypt, Salerno, Sicily and Italy, spent a fortnight with his
father, • Harry Stiglitz, of W. Euclid Ave. and is now in
Beach, Fla., awaiting re-assignment.
Sgt. and Mrs. Jack Corinblat left last week for Lincoln,. Neb.,
where he is stationed at the Lincoln Army Air Field, follow-
ing 18 days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Green of Sturte-
vant Ave. and Mrs. T. A. Corinblat of W. Philadelphia Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Z. Brown of E. Boston Blvd. returned
Tuesday from New York City where they went to meet their son,
AS 1/c Morris Brown, who was on leave from Quonset, R. I.
Seaman Brown recently completed aviation gunnery training at
Norman, Okla., and was transferred to Quonset for further training.
Cpl. Sam Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Robinson, has
returned to his base at Walker Air Field, Kan., after spending his
two-week furlough with his family.
