Death came last
week to Henri-
etta Szold, American-born, who made Palestine her life's
work. Founder of Hadassah and Youth Aliyah, she passed
away at the age of 84 in Palestine after a lingering illness.
Thousands of American servicemen while serving in the
Middle East called upon her to pay their respects. Tributes to
her memory appear throughout this issue of The Jewish News.
