The current list of names of Jewish men and woman in
the armed forces completes the available record of Detroit
servicemen.
During the past• two months, The Jewish News published
the list of 8,000 Jews in service.
The records of many of these are incomplete, and there
. are hundreds of names of men and woman of whom there is
no. record. Copies of previous listings are available at the
• Jewish News, 2114 Penobscot Bldg.
Relatives and friends of Detroit servicemen are called
- upon to send complete information to the Detroit Army and
Navy Committee of the Jewish Welfare Board, 8904 Wood-
' ward, MA. 8400. War records questionnaires may be secured
from the local JWB committee.

was killed in action in Belgium,
on Dec. 30. He was attached to
an anti-tank unit.

Lt. Drapkin Hurt
In Building Blast

A former reserve officer in the
army, his, Jack Drapkin answered
the call to duty on March 18,
1942, and was sent overseas in
April, 1944. First stationed in
England, he was
sent to France,
Luxembourg and
Germany.
Lt. Drapkin,
34, with the in-
fantry, -was in-
ured on Dec,
17, in an ex-
plosion in.- a
building shelter--;
ing unit. He is
Lt. Drapkin still hospitalized
in France.
A graduate of Northern High,
he attended the Detroit Tech and
was employed in the offices of
the Domestic Linen Supply Co.
He is the son of •Mr. and Mrs.
Hyman Drapkin, 2556 Richton,
and the husband of Mrs. ,Frita R.
Drapkin of 18509 Snowden.

Pfc. H. Meyer Given
Emergency Furlough

Pfc. Harold Meyer, overseas_
since last September, has been
returned to his home at 8290
Carbondale Ave. on an emerg-
ency furlough. Since his father,
Morris Meyer, passecl, away on
Oct. 10, and his mother was
seriously ill the Red Cross in-
terceded on his behalf and he
was sent home for 41 days. His
mother is recovering.
A brother, Pvt. Norman, is
with the medical corps some- .
where in Belgium.
