I ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY
Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Wittelshofer ,of Boston Blvd. are 'planning
to leave this Saturday for a week in New York and Boston. They
will visit with their daughter, Norma, a student at the Connecticut
College for Women.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frank of Boston Blvd. left Monday for
Miami Beach, Fla., where they will spend the remainder of the
winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo G. Winkelman of Fairfield Ave. returned on
Tuesday from Norfolk, Va., where they spent a few days visiting
with their son and daughter-in-law, Ensign and Mrs. Stanley J.
Winkelman.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Kaufman of Strathcona Dr. were hosts
to a group of friends at a dinner in their home last Saturday
evening.
Mrs. Morse Goldman of Fairfield Ave. and Mrs. Oscar Blum-
berg of Glynn Ct. have returned from a 10-day stay in New York
City.
Mrs. Milton Alexander of. Calvert Ave. spent the list week-6nd
in Cincinnati with her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Amberg of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from New York City,
A/T Donald Hartman has returned to Sioux Falls, S. D., after
spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hart-
man of Shrewsbury Rd.
Mrs. Rose Lipson of Merton Rd. has as her guests, her brother
and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Marshall of Brookline, Mass.,
who are enroute home from Georgia where they visited their
daughter who is a WAC stationed at Fort Ogelthorpe.
Lt. (s:g.) Kenneth Fischer has returned from overseas duty
and. is spending his leave with his father, Rabbi Moses Fischer
of Fullerton Ave. •
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Frank of the Palmer Lodge are spending
a week in New York City.
Sgt. Harvey Ackerman returned Saturday to Mayo General
Hospital, Galesburg, Ill., following a 12-day furlough with his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jules Solomon of Whit-
more Rd.
Mrs. M. E. Ginsburg of Newton Center, Mass., has been visit-
ing her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis M. Fischer of
Lakewood Ave. Mr. Ginsburg will join his wife this week-end
before going on to San Antonio, Tex., where they will visit their
son-in-law and daughter, Capt. and Mrs. Robert A. Topaz.
Lt. Stanley G. Dorfman has returned to Walker Field. Kan.,
following a two-weeks furlough spent with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph M. Dorfman of Fullerton Ave.
Mrs. Louis Goldberg of the• Belcrest Hotel has returned from
New York City where she visited members of her family.
Pfc. Seymour Jones has returned to New York City after a
week with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jones of Wilde-
mere Ave.
Mrs. Samuel Mitchell of Lakewood Ave., has returned from
Montreal where she attended the wedding of her niece.
