The technical services for the
Campaign, by decision of the
Jewish Welfare Federation and
Detroit Service Group boards, are
being . supplied by Federation.
Head Mercantile Group
Heading the mercantile group
Vvill be Julian H. Krolik, Louis
Robinson and Rudolph Zuieback.
Service trades will be led by
Louis C. Blumberg, Fred A. Gins-
burg, Jack Lapides and Harry
Rosman.
The mechanical trades will be
directed by Edward Bernstein,
Harvey H. Goldman, Abe Kasle
and Ben L. Silberstein.
Building trades will be headed
by Louis Berry, Ben B. Fenton,
Joseph Holtzman, George Sey-
burn and Barney Smith.
Food products will be in
charge of Irwin I. Cohn, Ben
Grosberg, Philip Lipson, Max;
Loewenstein and Max: Schayo-
witz.
Protessional Division
The professional division will
have as chairmen Sidney L. Alex-
ander, Jason Honignian. and
George M. Stutz.
Arts and crafts groups will be
directed by Alex Schreiber,
Leonard N. Simons and Frank A.
Wetsman.
For the mercantile division,
captains and ;workers are to be
selected for the following groups:
jewelry, shoes, dry goods, furni-
ture, household appliances, office
equipment, etc.; luggage and
loans, department store employes;
women's apparel, department
stores and chain stores; and men's
apparel.
The services division will in-
clude the following trades and
professions: cleaners, dyers and
tailors; linen supplies, laundries,
insurance, loan companies, invest-
ments, etc.; public employes,
beauty parlors, funeral homes
and miscellaneous.
Under mechanical trades will
be: auto sales and parking lots;
auto accessories, filling stations,
etc.: auto parts, metal and metal
dealers; scrap iron, steel, machin-
ery and • auto manufacturing;
bottles, waste materials and waste
paper and textiles.
Building Trades Group
Building trades will include
real estate; painters and decora-
tions; architects and engineers;
carpenters and contractors;
plumbers and supplies; building
supplies, masonry, plastering,
etc.; store fixtures and janitor
supplies; electricians and sup-
plies; coal and ice; property man-
agement, hotels, clerks, etc.;
hardware.
Food products will be organ-
ized to include bakeries; bever-
ages, groceries and manufactur-
ers' agents; meats, poultry; deli-
catessen, restaurants, catering,
etc.; tobacco and confectioners;
dairies, produce, fish • and Down
River merchants.
The professional division will
name captains and workers for
the following _groups: attorneys;,
Hebrew and Yiddish teachers
and rabbis; dentists and supplies,
optometrists, social workers, doc-
tors, schools, accountants, phar-
macists, chiropodists and osteo-
paths.
In arts and crafts, the commit-
tees will include advertisers and
publishers; printers; paper pro-
ducts, artists and musicians,
theaters; photographers, florists,
travel bureaus, amusements,
sports, etc.
Stress Family Giving
Because of the nature of the
campaign, with its stress on fam-
,
ily giving to a capital fund pro-
ject, no separate Women's Divi-
sion is being organized, but key
women workers will be assigned
to the various divisions. An ad-
visory committee already has
met to arrange this part of the
campaign organization. Includ-
ed in this advisory group are
Mesdames Sidney J. Allen, Jos-
eph H. Ehrlich, Jacob Harvith,
Herschel V. Kreger, Robert J.
Newman, Nate S. Shapero, Abra-
ham Srere and Henry Wineman,
with Mrs. Newman acting as
chairman.
The advance gifts section of
the campaign has had the parti-
cipation of a key group of work-
ers, including:
