Mr. and Mrs. Rubin Goodman of Fullerton Ave. honored their daughter, Eleanor; on her 16th birthday, on Jan. 20, with a lunch- eon at the Book Casino followed by a theater party for 20 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Karbal of Webb Ave. spent several days in Chicago. The Karbals were hosts to a group of relatives and friends at Latin Quarters in honor of Mrs. Karbal's brother, Marty Levin, who has returned from 26 months' service overseas. After a 30-day furlough he will return to San Francisco for reassignment. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel B. Goldberg of 1555 Lawrence will honor their daughter, Doris Marilyn, a Central High School honor grad- uate. with a reception at their home from 3 to 5 and 8 to 10 p. m. Sunday. No cards.
