Miss Dorothy Reese and Nathaniel Reese of California avenue have left for Palm Beach, Fla., where they will spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hibbler of Buena Vista avenue are spend- ing a month in Miami Beach, Fla., as guests of their daughter, Mrs. Emil Rose. Cpl. Arnold N. Fox left last Monday for his post after a short furlough spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fox of Euclid avenue. On the occasion of her 75th birthday, Mrs. Joseph Barnett was honored at a family dinner given last Sunday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Silver Of Oakman Ct. Lowder- milk as guest speaker, the 14th annual fund-raising drive of Pioneer Women's Organization in Detroit will culminate with a special donor event at 1:30 p. m. next Tuesday at the Masonic Temple Auditorium. Others on the program will include Anselm Reiss, Polish la- bor Zionist leader who, after the last World Zionist Congress, went to Palestine and was later called to be the representative of Polish Jewry in London; Philip Blackman, noted bari- tone, cantor of the Cleveland Jewish Center, who will be ac- companied by Helen Blackman; Miss Emilie Adams, violinist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, who will be accompanied by Rebecca Frohman.
