Miss Marilyn S. Klein of Wisconsin Ave. was hostess to Temple
Israel Juniors last Sunday.
Rabbi Leon Fram and Isaac- Franck will represent the Jewish
community of Detroit at the meeting of the National Community
Relations Advisory Council in New York this week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Goldstein were called to Rochester,
N. Y., due to the death of Mr. Goldstein's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth
Goldstein.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Warner have as their house guests
Mrs. Richard G. Gottlieb and daughter, Jay Ellen, of Norwood,
Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Smilay, their daughter, Rhoda, and
their mother, Mrs. M. D. Goff of Balmoral Road left on Saturday
fof Miami Beach, Fla., for a few weeks' visit.
Mrs. Joshua Sarasohn and Mrs. Nate Plotkin are planning to
leave on Tuesdays for a fortnight's visit in New York and Phila-
delphia where they will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Schumway II.
Pvt. and Mrs. S. David Hershman are visiting their parents,
Dr. and Mrs. A. M. Hershman and Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Hyman of Boston Blvd. and Mrs. Bert
Hyman of Sorrento Ave. Eave returned from a week's visit in
New York.
Miss Gloria Rita Davidoff has returned from Philadelphia
where she recently completed her training as laboratory technician
at the Jewish Hospital. She has as her house guest Mrs. Evelyn
Steinberg of Philadelphia.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Freedman of LaSalle Blvd. are vacationing
in Hollywood, Fla.
Honoring her sister, Miss Edith Langer, Red Cross social worker
who wal on two weeks' leave, Mrs. Harry Cohen was hostess to a
group of,friends last Friday evening at her home.
Mrs. Joseph Glazer and son, Louis, of Tyler Ave., left on Wed-
nesday for an extended stay in Los Angeles.
Sgt. Ernest S. Hirsch, who recently returned from 33 months'
service in the South Pacific, is on a month's furlough with Mrs.
Hirsch at their home on Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Rodecker acid Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Michel
were hosts to a group of friends at dinner at the Rodeckers' apart-
ment in Park Lane last Saturday evening.
Dr. Emil Rothman and son, William, of Glastonbury Road have
returned from a visit in New York and Washington.
Lt. Leonard Satovsky, who recently returned from overseas
service, is spending his leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David

guests Harold Waintrup of Cleveland and Ernst Conrad. of Cin-

Cpl. Sherwin W. Cohen will return to Camp Gerber, Okla., on
Monday after spending a short furlough with his parents, Mr. and
