Swimming as a Part
of a Child's Activities
Joshua Borodkin, swimming in-
structor at the Jewish Center,
stated this week:
"Swimming, as part of a-child's
activities, will give him a well-7
balanced, and rounded out pro-
gram. Children naturally love
the water. Delay in teaching a
child how to swim often causes a
state of fear of the water. It is
essential for the child's .well-be-
ing that he learn how to swim.
"The swimming department. of
the Jewish Community .Center, in
co-operation with the junior pro-
gram of the Center, encourages
. the youngsters to swim and giVes
them the basic Water safety
techniques for taking care of
themselves in the water."
