expected home this Sunday from a week's stay in New York City.

cago where she spent a few days visiting with her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Flexner of Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Bernard M. Gordon Of Parkside Ave. is spending a fort-
night in Teaneck, N. J., and New York City.
Mrs. James L. Stein of Northlawn Ave. spent a few days in
Chicago.
Mrs. Adolph Eisner returned to her home in Chicago on Tuesday
after a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leon Schembeck of Monte
Vista Ave.
Lt. Barbara Eppstein, WAC, is spending her week's leave frci'm
her post in Lexington, Ky., with her mother, Mrs. David N. Epston
of Longwood Ave.
Lt. (j.g.) Richard Waldbott is leaving Saturday for his post after
a 15-day leave spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Waldbott
of Burlingame Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Loewenberg of Virginia Pk. have left for
Miami Beach, Fla., where they will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Fixel of Connecticut. Ave. have returned
from Miami Beach, Fla., where they visited, their ail and daughter-
in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Arthur R. Fixel. •
Ensign Mildred Irene Bloch, Who has recently enlisted in the
U. S. N. R. Nurses Corps, left on Wednesday for her post at the
Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Lake Forest, Ill. She is the
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Abraham Bloch of Prairie Ave.
Mrs. Morris Zack of Atkinson Ave. has left for Hot Springs,
Ark., where she will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Loewenberg and their small daughter,
Janice Ruth, have moved from Highland Ave. and are now residing
at 18279 Mendota Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schlanger of Calvert Ave. left last week
for an indefinite stay in Tucson and Phoenix, Ariz., and Palm
Springs, Calif.
Mrs. Samuel Berman of Taylor Ave. has returned from Mil-
waukee and Chicago where she visited with members of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hollander of Buena Vista Ave: have re-
turned from a week's stay in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard M. Korner of Parkside Ave. have left for
Hollywood, Fla., where they will spend the winter months.
Capt. and Mrs. A. M. Bookstein are spending 10 days with Mrs.
Bookstein's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hoffman
of Sturtevant Ave. Capt. Bookstein, who has been stationed with the
Medical Corps at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., has been transferred
to Fort Lewis, Wash.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Katkin of Balmoral Rd. have returned
from a short stay in St. Joseph, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Brin of Calvert Ave. .are leaving this
week for Los Angeles, Calif., where they will spend the winter.

Committee at its two-day nation-
al conference, under the chair-
manship of Adolph Held, presi-
dent, and attended by more than
200 delegates.
