chairmen, are in charge.
Art calendars are available as
Hanukah gifts, Mrs. Saul Benyas,
chairman, announces.
Mrs. Randolph Weber is in
charge of the sald of War Bonds
and Stamps.

Hold Membership Tea,
Meeting on Wednesday

Detroit Women's Division of
American Jewish Congress will
be given at the Institute of Arts
on Wednesday at 1:15 p. m. It
will be followed by a meeting
at 2:15.

Deac Will Address.
Sholem Aleichem's

Paul Deac, cosmopolitan editor
of the Detroit Free Press, will be
the speaker Monday, at the
Seminar of the Sholem Aleichem
People's Institute, on the topic
"Americans in the Making," at
the school house,_ 3754 Monterey.
Mr. Deac is the founder and
the president of the "Americans-
All" Organization whose purpose
is to spread tolerance and Amer-
icanism. He was at one time dip-
lomatic editor of the Paris and
Geneva Tribune De La Petite
Entente, and covered the Spanish
Civil War as a war correspond-
ent.

Rhea E. Cashman has returned from a trip through the leading
communities in Mexico.
Miss Marian Goodman was hostess as well as soloist at a meet-
ing of the Music Group of Council of Jewish Juniors, at her home,
3515 Sherbourne Rd., on Nov. 29.
Dr. and Mrs. Max Abramson of W. McNichols Road are guests
at the Winterhaven Hotel, Miami Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Louis Denison and daughter, Leslie, of Monica Ave., are
guests at the Winterhaven Hotel, Miami Beach, Fla.
Dr. and Mrs. Harry Portnoy will have open house Saturday eve-
ning, Dec. 9, in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary. No
cards.
Mrs. Louis Goldberg of the Belcrest entertained a group of
friends at luncheon and bridge at the Women's City Club on Tues-
day, November 28th, following the Book Review of "Yankee
from Olympus, by Dr. Glazer at Temple Beth El.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Koperman of 2627 Calvert Ave. will have
open house Sunday, 2 to 5 p. m., in honor of their son, Cpl. Irving
Koperman, who is home on furlough after two and a half years'
overseas duty.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Harris of Pennington Drive were hosts
to their immediate family on Nov. 23 in honor of their 25th wedding
anniversary.

Siegel, a leader in organizations in Mexico, is especially active in
Russian War Relief there.
Mrs. Abraham Goldberg of 746 Collingwood Ave. is visiting her
daughter, Mrs. J. J. Wechsler of 888 Grand Concourse, New York.
Mrs. Harmon Harris, formerly of 3200 W. Boston Blvd., is now
residing in Colorado Springs, Colo., where her husband, Pvt. Harris,
is stationed at the Air Force Headquarters. Accompanying Mrs.
Harris to Colorado Springs were her daughters, Sharon and Rebecca,
and her sister, Naomi Lowitky.
Mr. and Mrs. Israel Himelhoch of the Whittier Apt. are visiting
in Dallas, Tex.
Mrs. Harry Gleick has returned to her home in St. Louis after
a week's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Julian G. Wolfner of Burlington Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Farbsten of Burlington Dr. are expected
home this Saturday from a stay in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis B. Heavenrich of Mendota Ave. returned
last Saturday from a short stay in Chicago.
Mrs. Harold T. Rattner of Wellesly Dr. has returned from a
week's stay in New Orleans.
Dr. Willard D. Mayer and his daughter, Rosalie; of Boston Blvd.
have returned from a short trip to New York City and Connecticut.
Col. David Wainhouse of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. I. Rabb
of Swampcott, Mass., visited their sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Nathan of LaSalle Blvd. H. Nathan had as his guest
his brother, Dr. Edward Nathan of Quincy, Mass.
