UR FAITH in America was expressed at

the polls on Nov. 7 when the vast major-

ity of our people showed confidence in rule by

the majority. Now, this faith must be reaffirnied

anew in action for detnocracy.

To make this possible, it is necessary that our

government be provided with the means with

which to carry on this war. The. 6th War Loan

represents exactly what the name implies--

a Loan to our national government—a Loan

raised on a voluntary basis without coercion—a

Loan intended to prevent inflation—a Loan to

serve as-a- symbol of our faith in democracy.

The faith which has made this land the lead-

er in the battle for justice gives us assurance that

the 6th War Loan will be fully subscribed, with

each one of us participating in this great war-

winning effort to the best of our abilities. Every

bond bought in the 6th War Loan gives added

strength to our faith as Americans.

line for this scene, photographed on the battlefields of Jewish survival within and
near the Nazi-held "fortress". With funds provided by the United Jewish Appeal
for Refugees, Overseas Needs and Palestine supported in Detroit by the War
Chest, direct and indirect aid is reaching large numbers of Jews in Poland, France,
Shanghai, Italy and other areas which are being liberated from the Axis. On the
promise of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee to repay loans after
the war, groups in war areas are borrowing funds to carry on relief work.
