peal for Refugees, Overseas Needs and. Palestine to help erase the
memory of 11 years of horror and suffering. Their hopes rest upon

Oct. 25 to Nov. 10 for a goal of $8,250,000.

the great rescue effort now in progress.

tine. These newcomers are settled in the Jewish HoMeland with funds of the United Pal-
estine Appeal, a UJA agency, whose income in Detroit comes through the War Chest.

from hunger symbolizes a new. beginning for the youths in
areas recaptured from the Nazis. The UJA activities have been
recognized as the major programs of rescue and reconstruction
financed by the Jews of America.
