Unpalatable bread has been
the main diet for millions of
oppressed people in Nazi-held territories. To prevent its becoming
the permanent diet for the Jews and other surviving peoples of
Europe, it is necessary that the War Chest campaign, to be launched
Oct. 25 for a goal of $8,250,000, should be a complete success. The
Allied Jewish Campaign's 55 local, national and overseas agencies
are included in the War Chest.
