14-day furlough with their parentg, Mr. and Mrs. I. Kaplan of Glen-
dale Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. C. Koenigsberg of Pasadena Ave. Cpl.
Koenigsberg will return to Camp McCoy; Wisconsin, and Mrs.
Koenigsberg will join him in a few weeks at his new station, Camp
Shelby, Miss.
Miss Shirley B. Jacobson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Jacob-
son of. Elmhurst Ave., has left for Madison, Wis., where she will
take up her studies as a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. and ,Mrs. L. Foreman of San Juan Drive have as their •
house-guest, Mrs. Foreman's sister, Mrs. H. Simons of Pueblo, Colo,
Mrs. Simons also will visit relatives in Toledo.
Miss Hannah Foreman of San. Juan Drive and Miss Betty
Rothenberg of Stevens Ave., have returned home after spending
their vacation in New York. En route, Lelia Perelman of Harris-
burg, Pa., met the girls and they spent a week-end in New York,
stopping at the Barbizon-Plaza Hotel.
Cadet Ivan Shalit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shalit of the
Wilshire Hotel, has returned to Staunton Military Academy, Staun.
ton, Va., where he resumed his studies.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Plaut (Hadassah Yanich) entertained
their friends - at a farewell party recently. They now are residing
at
242 Senator Pl., Cincinnati. Mr. Plaut is continuing with his studies
at Hebrew Union College. He is the religious and cultural director
of the Price Hill Jewish Community, a suburb of Cincinnati.
Oscar Boxman, Petty Officer 2/c, is spending a nine-day leave
with Mrs. Boxman in their home on Webb Ave.'
