Center Announces Program
of Fall, Winter Activities
Morris Garvett Reveals Adult Education Schedule; Mrs.
Cooper Announces Musical Events; Variety
of Doings for All Age Groups

ter announces an extensive series
of activities for the fall and win-
ter, .commeneing. on Wednesday,
Sept. 20.
Under the leadership of Morris
Garvett, chairman of the adult

education committee, an expand-
ed program will be developed.
A youth leadership training
course will be inaugurated on
Sunday, Oct. 22. Other activities
will include film programs, book
chats, -classes and discussion
groups.
The annual Jewish lecture ser-
ies is planned for the early
months of 1945.

NEW YORK, (JTA)—Yehudi
Three folk school branches,
known as Farband Schools, will
resume their sessions on Wed-
nesday,_ Sept. 20, it was an-
nounced this week.
The schools are _located at 1912
Taylor, 12244 Dexter and at the
Thirkell School.
Last year's students are asked
to resume their .classes during
the hours they attended in the
past.
New pupils, including begin-
ners and advanced students, will
be accepted for registration.
The Farband Schools offer a
five-year course of study in Yid- .
aish, Hebrew, Jewish history,
Bible, singing, celebration of the
holidays, Palestine and other
subjects.
A moderate tuition fee is
charged and needy students are
accepted free. Classes are con-
ducted by competent teachers.
Parents are urged to bring
their children for registrations.

from 12 to3p.m.

A complete program of activi-
ties is planned for juniors and in-
termediates.
Junior activities will include
arts and crafts, music, dramatics,
games and story telling. Clubs,
lounge, dances and parties will
feature the intermediate pro-
grams.
