Jr. Hadassah Opens
Season This Sunday
Dr. and Mrs. Leo M. Franklin of Edison Ave. have returned
from Charlevoix where they spent the summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Welt were hosts to a group of their friends
at a dinner last Saturday evening in their home in Walnut Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer H. Meyer of Suffolk Dr. have as their
guest Mrs. Marc Grossman of Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loeb and their daughter, Janine, of Chi-
cago will arrive this Saturday to spend a week with Mrs. Loeb's
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Klein of
Stratford Rd.
• Dr. and Mrs. B. Benedict Glazer and their daughter, Stephanie,
have moved from Chicago Blvd. and are at present residing at the
Lee Plaza Apt.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Lambert of Whittier Dr. spent the last
weekend at Goderich, Ont., as the house guests of Dr. and Mrs.
Herbert M. Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Rosenbaum of Boston Blvd. have returned
from a few weeks stay in Mackinac Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan S. Grosner and their daughter, Joan, of
- Atkinson Ave. have returned from a few weeks stay in Atlantic City.
Mr. and • Mrs. Louis Baum, their daughter, Jane, and their son,
Richard, have moved from Greenlawn Ave. and are now residing
at 183000 Fairfield Ave.
Miss Harriet Simon of the Wilshire Hotel spent the last week-
end visiting friends in Bellevue, 0.

wald of Balmoral Rd. left Wednesday for Bronxville, N. Y. where
she resumes her studies at Sarah Lawrence College.
Miss Ruth Wolbach of Chicago is planning to leave this Friday
following a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Ettlinger of Penning-
ton Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Kreger and their son, David and Thomas,
have returned from Goclerich, Ont., where they spent the summer.
Miss Jean Holtzman of Calvert Ave. has returned from Los
Angeles where she spent tho summer - visiting' her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holtzman.
Lt. Anson H. Klaubber Jr. of St. Louis, who is stationed at Fort
Sills, Okla.,.spent a few days of his leave with his aunts, the Misses
Jeannette and Ruth Caplark-'of Whitmore Rd.
Mrs. Maurice Morse of Wildernere Ave., returned' Wednesday
from Milwaukee where she visited her-family.

guests last week, Mrs. Stocker's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Leiter and their daughter, Sylvia, of Chicago
-Blvd. have returned from a few weeks stay in Harbor Springs.
Mrs. Lottie Lenick and her daughter, Sylvia, of the Belcrest
Hotel have returned from. Los Angeles, where they spent the sum-
mer.
Mrs.- Ellis Thal and her son, Donald, of Glynn Ct. left Thurs-
day for New York City where they will spend a few days visiting
with Midshipman Richard Thal who is attending Columbia Uni-
versity.
Mrs. Harry Robinson, daughter, Sharon, and her son, Howard,
of Tuxedo Ave. have returned from Higgins Lake where they spent
the summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kozman of Toledo spent . the last week
end as the guests of their nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Richard
G. Lieber of Lawrence Ave.
Mrs. Tobia Garon of Stoepel Ave. has returned from_ Duluth,
Minn., where she spent the summer Visiting her family.
Arnold Rosman of Boston Blvd. left last Friday on a cruise
to Duluth.
Nancy Fisher has returned from Camp Awanee, Vt. and her
brother, Michael, from Green Mountain, Vt. They are the children
of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fisher of Lakewood Ave.
Lt. (j.g.) and Mrs. Howard Sherman are visiting their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hartman of Chicago Blvd. and Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Sherman of Calvert Ave. Lt. Sherman who has been sta-
tioned at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center will leave on Sun-
day to report to his new post at Solomons, Md. and Mrs. Sherman
will join him later.
Miss Alice Kessler of LongIsland, N. Y is spending a fortnight
as the guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Klein of
Atkinson Ave.
Sgt. and Mrs. Paul Markowitz (Frances'Cohen) spent a few days
with their aunts and Misses Freda and Sadie Weinstein of Cort-
land Ave. enroute from New York City to Battle Creek, where Sgt.
Markowitz is stationed at Fort Custer.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Madden and their sons, Michael and
Richard, of Broadstreet Blvd. have returned from Sleepy Hollow,
Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Colman and their daughter, Janice, of Mer-
ton Rd. have returned from a few weeks stay in Charlevoix.
Dr. and Mrs. Oskar Benesi of Delaware Ave. left Wednesday for
New York City where they will make their home.
Mrs. Julius Gunsberg and her daughter, Marion, of Pasadena
Ave. have returned from Cleveland where they spent a few days
visiting with relatives.
Mrs. Marvin Wetsman of Indiana Ave. and her sister, Mrs.
Norman Weisman, and her daughter, Virginia, of Chicago Blvd.
have returned from a month's stay in Lexington.

Rosa Dr. have returned from their summer home in Lake Che-

services here of a congregation
of French Jews marking the lib-
eration of Paris.- The services
were led by' Rabbi Simon Lan-
ger, head of the Congregation,
and Rabbi Leo Jung,
for the current year at 2:30 p. m.
on Sunday, in the small prayer
room of Shaarey Zedek.
Miss Perlis stated that the or-
ganization this year aspires to
reach a membership goal of 300.
By popular demand, the week-
ly study group will be resumed,
with Mrs. Esther Etkin Mossman,
a former president of Detroit
Junior Hadassah, as speaker.
Plans are being made again for
members to participate in apple
picking in connection with the
Women's Land Army.
Ross are now making their' home
in Chicago where Capt. Ross is
medical officer in charge of a
Mobile Blood Donor Unit.
