Mrs. H. Alpert of Dickerson Ave. has returned from Forrester,
Mich., where she spent 10' days as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Jacobson.
Mrs. Rose Wertheimer and her two daughters of EastWood Ave.
are spending a week in New York City. -
Mrs. Herman Shapiro has returned to Detroit after visiting her
husband, Pvt. Shapiro, who is stationed at Lowry Field, Denver,
Colo.
Miss Madeleine Brodie of Chicago Blvd., who recently returned
from the Northwestern Summer School, spent .a. few weeks with
her family in Detroit and will resume her studies at Northwestern,
for the Fall session, returning on Sept. 10.
Miss Shirley Beswick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bes-
wick, leaves Sept. 8 for Chicago where she will attend the Art
Institute. Miss Beswick will reside at the Three Arts Club while
at school.
Miss Betty Goldberg of the Belcrest has returned to her home
after spending a two-week vacation with relatives in the East.
Rhoda Zahavie has returned- from New York where she spent
her two months' vacation studying voice with Enrico Rosati.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Meer, formerly of Broadstreet, are now
.residing in their new home on Shrewsbury Road. Their daughter
and•son-in-law, Sgt. and Mrs. Arnold Wisper, visited with them for
10 days during Marine Sgt. Wisper's 10-day furlough.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Halperin gave a dinner at Knollwood
Country Club, complimenting their parents, Mr. and 'Mrs. Max
Millner, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
• Mr. and Mrs. Al. Schwartz, (Ann Millner) of Los Angeles,
Calif., - are - visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs: Max Millner of
Hazelwood Ave.
Mrs.- Sam Rosenberg and children, Allan and Roberta, of Glen-
dale Ave. have returned from a seven-week stay in Charlevoix,
the children having spent four Weeks of their vacation at Camp
Playfaire.
Mrs. Ida Bader has ;left for . Bay City to be the guest of Mrs.
Dwight Mosier and to attend. the reunion of the 75th Medical Wives
Club held there. Lt. - Colonel Benjamin Bader is Commanding Officer
of the 75th Medical Battalion now serving somewhere in France.
More than 300 guests attended the Bar Mitzvah. celebration of
Lawrence Mayer 'Greenfield, son of Rabbi and Mrs. Harry A.
Greenfield, during the past week-end. Rabbi and Mrs. Kolman
Keller of Passaic, . N. J., grandparents of the Bar. Mitzvah, •and

the practice of law with offices
in the National Bank Bldg. He is

the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan
Parkway Authority.
