Brandes School at
Tucson Will Start
LISTENING Sixth Year Oct. 1

Jewish Youth's

By Danny Raskin

The Brandes school at Tucson
will commence its sixth year
Oct. 1.

In the past Jewish families
who wanted to have a child in
Tucson either had the mother
come with him or the whole
family had to uproot itself since
there was no private school
available - to them. The emotional
tension, huge expense, and dis-
rupted family and business life
resulted in a cost too great to
be justified in many cases. The
establishment of this school ob-
viates this need.

Obituaries

SAMUEL KOLITCH, 65, died
Aug. 23 following an operation
at Harper Hospital. Mr. Kolitch,
who was born in Russia, was a
retired East Side businessman
and had lived in Detroit for the
last 40 years. The body was sent
to New York City for burial.
He is survived by his daughter,
Mrs. David Applebaum, with
whom he resided at 3017 Fuller-
ton Ave., and two sons of New
York City.

United Nations Urged
To Issue Travel Papers

NEW YORK, (JTA)—A reso-
lution asking the United Nations
to issue internationally recog-
nized travel papers, similar to
the Nansen passports, to Jewish
refugees traveling without visas,
was adopted here at the session
of the national conference of the
Emergency Committee to Save
the Jewish People of Europe.

Mrs. Nadine Politzer this week
announced the opening of an ex-
clusive shop, featuring gowns of
distinction, on Tuesday, Sept. 5,
in Room 413, fourth floor of the
Metropolitan Bldg.
A complete line of new fall se-
lections of dresses, coats, suits for
junior misses and women has
been assembled to suit every
taste. The shop is furnished as a
salon with attractive .furnishings
and draperies.
The public is invited to attend
the opening. Mrs. Politzer will
gladly give her personal attention
to every client. She will have
junior sizes from 9 to 17, misses
and women's from 10 to 20, coats
and suits.

Musically speaking, Benny
Goodman observes: Mussolini
played second fiddle, but Hitler
will have to face the music!
