The Tragic Story of Nazi Barbarism: As American
soldiers push forward in Italy, they are told horrifying tales
of Nazi reprisals - against sympathizers with the United Na-
tions. The fear etched in the little girl's face is an indication
of the tragedy which is being eased by representatives of the
United Jewish Appeal for Refugees, Overseas Needs and
Palestine. UJA representatives have begun rescue opera-
tions in liberated. territories. The UJA agencies receive their
support from the War Chest of Metropolitan Detroit.

A Window to a New World: Out of a port-
hole of a steamer leaving Portugal, two young
refugees take a last look at the Europe which
meant homelessness and suffering to them. A
new home is being provided for them in the
U. S. with UJA funds. Through the United Pal-
estine Appeal, homes are provided in Palestine
for thousands of rescued victims of Nazism.
