Aroused by the dangers threatening the remaining Jews
I - of Hungary at the hands of the Nazis, Chief Rabbis Isaac
Halevy Herzog and Benzion Meir Uziel of Palestine are plan-
ning to proceed immediately to Vatican City to seek an audi-
ence with Pope Pius XII and to urge him to intervene in their
behalf, it is reported from Jerusalem.

King of Sweden Appeals
For Hungarian Jews
STOCKHOLM, (JZA) — King
Gustav of Sweden has personally
intervened with Admiral Horthy,
the -Regent of Hungary in behalf
