JEWISH WOMEN'S EURO-
PEAN ORGANIZATION, at a
meeting June 12, allocated $140
for aid to Palestinian orphans. A
tag day will be held in Mt.
Clemens July 16, which will be
postponed to July 23 in case of
rain. Plans are being made for a
picnic in August. The organiza-
tion's 27th anniversary will be
celebrated with a banquet on
Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Shaarey
Zedek.

Ladies' Auxiliary of GALI-
CIAN SOCIETY, at a luncheon
at Mrs. J. Nachwalter's home on -
Glendale Ave., sold $2,000 in
War Bonds through the efforts of
Regina Wauldron. Funds were
raised for war efforts and USO
activities. The last meeting of
the season will be held at 12:30
p. m. on Wednesday at the home
of Mrs. Wauldron, 2724 Richton.
The 10th anniversary donor din-
ner will be held in the Fall. Mrs.

NOTICE OF CONYOCATION
OF ITS
SECOND SESSION
Acting under the authority vested in it by the American
Jewish Conference, the Interim Committee established by the
Conference voted to convene the second session of the American
Jewish Conference, at the Hotel Stevens in Chicago, Ill., begin-
ning on Saturday evening, September 2nd. The session will
continue through September 3rd, 4th and 5th.
New elections of delegates will not be required inas-
much as the Conference is in recess and the forthcoming session
is convened by the Interim Committee under the authority
