from Washington, D. C. to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
D. Robinson of Longfellow Ave., and Lt. Wineman's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Wineman of Hamilton Rd.
Capt. and Mrs. Walter Politchek are the guests of Mrs. Pol-
itchek's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fechhimer
of Huntington Woods.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Weisman of Boston Blvd. will move on
June 28 into their new home at 19487 Suffolk Dr.
Miss Blanche Meyer of St. Joseph, Mo., is the guest of Miss
Hattie- Silberman of Burlingame Ave.
Lt. and Mrs. Arthur Davis have left for the west coast after a
feW days visit with Mrs. Davis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wine-
man of Hamilton Rd.

Mrs. Seymour Simons of Wildemere Ave. has returned from,
Belleville, Ill., wher she visited with her. parents, Dr. and Mrs:

Miss Edith Heavenrich of Trowbridge Ave. and Mrs. Carrie May
Berger of Dexter Blvd. are expected home this week-end from Gay ,.
lord, - Mich., 'where they were the guests for a few days of Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew Wineman. .
Mrs. Milton Doner and her small daughter, Jill, have . left. for
-Cambridge, Mass., to join Lt. (j.g.) Doner who is receiving speCial
training at Harvard University.
Mrs. Leon Schembeck and her daughter, Mrs. Maurice Schiller
of Glynn Ct., were hostesses. at -a tea Thursday afternoon- the
Schembeck home • on Monte Vista Ave.; complimenting Mrs. 'Schem-
beck's niece, Mrs. Louis Baum. Mr. and Mrs. Baum and their. son
and daughter have recently come from Kansas City, Mo„. to make
their home in Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Sarasohn of Atkinson Ave., -have. returned
from a few weeks' visit in New York City.
. Mrs. Moe Birnbaum has returned to her home in Toronto after
a few weeks' visit as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sklar of
Chicago Blvd.
Mrs. Mose Rosenthal and her daughter; Miss Rachael Rosenthal,
have moved from Royal Oak and are now residing in their new
home on Nevada Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Berkman of Parkside Ave. have as their
guests Mrs. Berkman's sister, Mrs. Mac Edelman and her daughter,
Felice, and her son, Arthur, of New Centre, Mass.
Ensign and Mrs. Herman J. Bloom have returned to Washington,
D. C., after a few days' visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David
B. Lichtig of Indiana Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Harry. Bloom of Wis-
consin Ave.
Miss Jean Holtzman of Calvert Ave. has left for Los Angeles,
Calif., to spend the summer as the guest of her brother and sister-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holtzman.
Ensign Dan Saulson returned to his post on Thursday after
a few days' leave spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Saul Saulson
of Broadstreet Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Haas of Renfrew Ave. have returned from
a few weeks' visit in New -York City.
Seaman 1/C Frank Boxman, who is stationed at Virginia Beach,
is spending a short leave with his father, A. L. Boxman of Webb Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Gale of Wisconsin Ave. have returned
from a visit in New York City where they were guests at the Bar-
bizon Plaza, Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E. Baer of Fairfield Ave. were at home
on June 14 in honor of the 40th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Baer's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ciralssky of South Bend, Ind.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Gilbert of Arden Park have left to
spend the summer in their home in Charlevoix.
Sgt Elliott Lipson has returned to his post at Camp Ellis after
a fortnight's furlough spent with Mrs. Lipson and their small son of
Parkside Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn Ct. spent a few days in
Chicago.
Pvt. Burton Rose, who is stationed at Van Doren, Miss. is
spending a 10-day furlough with Mrs. Rose in their home on Wis-
consin Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan H.. Schermer of the Lee Crest Apt. have re-
turned from a few days in Bay City and Saginaw.
