Data on Captains Sought
For Jewish War Records

War Records Bureau of JWB Army and Navy Committee
Asks Cooperation of Synagogues and Organizations
to Compile Information as Invasion Starts

With Invasion bringing us closer - to victory, it is im-
perative that Detroit Jewry respond immediately to the plea
of the Detroit War Records Committee of the Jewish Welfare
Board for complete data of sons, daughters and relatives in
the Armed Forces of the United States and Allied Nations.
"The record of every Jewish man and woman who is

serving, or who has served our
country in this war, must be full
and complete, in. order to prove
that we, as Jews, may have an
answer to those who are already
saying 'What is the American
Jew contributing to the war
effort'," Myron A. Keys, chair-
man of the War Records Com-
mittee, declares.
Appeal to Organizations
In an appeal to presidents and
Secretaries of organizations and
congregations, besides individu-
als, the War Records Committee
urges immediate and whole-
hearted support of the JWB's
great task of compiling an of-
ficial documentary of the na-
_tion's Jews in the war.
The appeal added "That we
may confront the enemy within
with the TRUTH and enlighten
those whom he is seeking to
mislead . . ."
To accomplish this, the corn-
mittee suggests the appointment
of active workers in various or-
ganizations to gather this com-
plete information and to contact
the committee, MA. 8400, or
write the Bureau of War Rec-
ords, Woodward and Holbrook,
for blanks.
