Here for Young Children

The Jewish Children's Bureau has children, from
infancy to 17 years, waiting to be placed in private
homes. This is especially true in the case of children
from 3 to 6 years.
There may be many- families who have the space
and desire to have a child live with them, but who never
before recognized their importance and need in serving
our young Jewish children. A home is essential for the
development of a happy normal life for children.
The Jewish Children's Bureau is asking you to let a
child share your home with you. This agency pays for
the child's room and board, the clothing and other es-
sential needs. If you are interested and desire more in-

J. Solis-Cohen, Jr., president
of the Jewish Publication So-
ciety of America, has announced

that the executive director of
the society, Maurice Jacobs, has
been; promoted to the newly cre-
ated office of executive vice-
president.
When Mr. Jacobs entered the
society's service, the dues re-
ceived from members amounted
to $19,795.30. The sales of the
press division amounted to $24,-
717.23 and the society's book
sales outside of memberships
amounted to $14,724.58.
In 1943, his eighth year, the
results were as follows: Mem-.
bership dues, $56,911.00; the
press division, $154,039.15; book
sales, $43,813.
