Pisgah Women Aid
Ida Hibbard Fund
Pisgah Bnai Brith Women's
Lodge continues to support the
Ida Hibbard Fund. Mrs. Nathan
Wolf, chairman of the war serv-
ice committee, announces a fur-
ther contribution of $500 to con-
tinue the work of Beaver Ed-
wards, reknowned sculptor, in re-
storing missing arms and legs of
disabled veterans.
The idea of rehabilitating
maimed and crippled service
men, through the arms and legs
so skillfully sculptured by Beav-
er Edwards that they cannot be
discerned, either in appearance
or use, from the natural , con-
ceived by Ida Hibbard, received
its first impetus through the en-
thusiasm with which Pisgah
Women adopted it as part of their
war service program. The work
has won national recognition of
District Lodge No. 6 and part of
the war service fund has been
permanently allocated to this
field.
