Winton, now serving overseas, figured in last Sun- day's story cabled to the Detroit News from Khorramshahr, Iran, by Blair Moody. Maj. Siegel, 29, a pediatrician, joined the Medical Corps in June, 1942, and left for overseas in the fall of that year. He is post surgeon of the largest port in Persia. - Born in Detroit Aug. 15, 1914, he was graduated from North- eastern High School, Wayne Uni- versity and Wayne College of Medicine. He interned at Eloise and Children's Hospitals. He was married in New Orleans while in service there and his wife is making her home there until his return.
