New classes are being formed
for beginners and advanced stu-
dents. Classes meet for two,
three and four hours daily.
The preparatory department
of t h e Yeshivah maintains
branches in Cong. Beth Tefilo
Emmanuel, Taylor and Woodrow
Wilson, a n d in the Hampton

Drive. Enrollments for the Ye-
shivah and the branches are now
being accepted.
Bus service for students living
at a. distance'from the Yeshivah
is being provided. Pupils coming
directly from the public schools
to the Yeshivah receive lunch
before the start of the class

at the Yiskor services, appeals
for Yeshivath_ Beth Yehudah will

Receives Special Fund
As a Memorial
PHILADELPHIA. — The Jew-
ish Publication Society of Amer-
ica announces that it has re-
ceived a special -donation for its
work of $10,000 from the Book-
of-the-Month Club, of New York
City, as a memorial to the late
Katherine Harris Scherman.
Mrs. Scherman, the mother of
Harry Scherman, founder of the
Book-of-the-Month Club, and its
president, travelled widely over
the country in behalf of The
Jewish Publication Society in its
early days, half a century ago,
and never lost her interest in its
activity and its publications.
Many of the members she ob--
tamed are still on its books.
She died at the age of 87 years
last fall.
`None Shall Escape'
Has Premiere in N. Y.
NEW YORK (JPS) — "None
Shall Escape," a Columbia movie
based on the promised trials of
Nazi war criminals, has had its
premiere here. One sequence
shows the town rabbi exhorting
the Jews in cattle cars to break
through their guards and fight
their oppressors. This is the , first
movie to refer to Jewish resist-
ance.
