Sgt. and Mrs. David S. Hershman of Alexandria, La., are
spending the Passover with their parents.

Miss Shirley August of Chicago Blvd. has as her guest Miss
Lorraine Eisenberg of Wilmette, Ill.
Mrs. Morse Saulson of Virginia Pk. has returned from New
Brunswick, N. J., where she was the guest of her brother-in-law
and sister, Dr. and Mrs. Jack Uhr.
Mrs. Seth Jacobson and her small son, Ossie, have left for
New York City where she is visiting her mother-in-law. From
there they will go to Petersburgh, Va., where they will join Pvt.
Jacobson who is stationed at Camp Lee.
Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund L. Brin of Calvert Ave. have returned
from Los Angeles, Calif., where they spent the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Levin and their children of LaSalle
Blvd. are spending the holiday with Mrs. Levin's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Katzin of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Savage of Longfellow Ave. are spending
a week in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. William Isenberg of Edison Ave. have as their
guests •Mr. Eisenberg's sister, Mrs. Charles D. Gilbert, and their
mother, Mrs. Esther Eisenberg of New York City.
Mrs. Reva Berman of Byron Ave.. has returned from an ex-
tended stay in Miami Beach, Fla.
Capt. Max Gordon Aikin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Aikin of 2520
Blaine Ave., was home on a 15-day leave. He is stationed' at Med-
ford, Ote.
Pvt. Marvin J. Penn, son of Mrs. Alte L. Penn of Waverly Ave.,
was home on furlough from Camp Gruber, Oklahoma.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barnett of Rochester Ave. flew in from
Birmingham, •Ala., after visiting their sori, Pvt. Harvey G., at Camp
Rucker, Ala., for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. .Sam Green of Greenlawn Ave. returned from a
visit with their son, Pvt. Jack Green, who is stationed at Camp
McCain, Miss.
Lt. and Mrs. Alvin N. Sarasohn are visiting this week at the
home of Lt. Sarasohn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Sarasohn of
Webb Ave.
Mrs. Myron A. Keys of 18043 Wildemere Ave. is on a month's
visit with her son-in-law and daughter; Cpl. and Mrs. Daniel Car-
penter, at McAllen, Tex.
Midshipman Theodore R. Kelter Jr., left on Sunday for his
station at Sam Mateo, Calif. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Theodore Kelter of Cherrylawn Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schlanger of Calvert Ave. have returned
from an extended stay in Tucson and Phoenix, Ariz.
Mrs. Samuel S. Willis and her small son, Jimmy, are leaving
this Friday for Headland, Ala:, " where Lt. Willis is stationed at
Napier Field after a month's visit with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Benjamin Love .of Clairmount Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Samuels of Parkside Ave. have returned
from a few weeks' stay in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Saperston and their daughter, Saralyn
of Wisconsin Ave., have returned from a few weeks' stay in Miami
Beach, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Mandeberg of San Juan Dr. are spending
the holiday week with tileir family in Cleveland, 0.

for Los Angeles, Calif., where they will make their home.

Matzoth Flour Pudding

Mix a glass of matzoth flour
with some salt and pepper; boil
one-half glass of water with one-
half glass of fat; pour it into
the matzoth flour; mix well and
let it cool off a little. Then beat
two eggs into the mass and mix
well; . if the dough is too stiff
you may add some water. Knead
the dough well; pour some fat
into a pudding pan; put in the
dough and place the pan into
the stove for baking. Don't hake
it too long.

Soak six matzoth in water un-
..til soft. Squeeze well until the
water runs out and then mix

Spring Dance, April 22

Little Women of Hadassah will
have their annual Spring dance
on Saturday night, April 22, in
the Jade Room of Detroit Leland
Hotel. Elaine Shiffman is chair-

8931 TWELFTH

To every egg add one-half
tablespoon of matzoth meal and
one tablespoon of sugar. Sift
meal five times, mix with sugar,
one-half • tablespoon of ground
ginger, one-half tablespoon of
cinnamon, one-fourth tablespoon
of cloves; mix with the well-
beaten yolks and cut and fold
in gently the stiffly beaten
whites.

Raisin Wine ,

Take two pounds of raisins,
remoye their stems and wash
them thoroughly. Then cut them
in half and cover with three
quarts of cold water. Add a few
sticks of whole cinnamon and
boil slowly in a covered sauce-
pan for three or four hours.
Strain throUgh a fine cheese-
cloth bag, and to the liquor add
the juice of two lemons and either
one or two cups of granu-
lated sugar to suit the taste. Let
this boil up again for about fif-
teen minutes and then allow to
cool, and bottle and keep on ice
until used. This wine can be.
made two or three days before-
it is used.
