Dr. Glazer to Talk
On 'Personal Lives'

`Jewish Diplomacy'
Rabbi Fram's Topic
For Next Friday

"What Really Matters In Our
Personal Lives Today?" will be
the subject of Dr. B. Benedict
Glazer's sermon at Temple Beth
El, this Friday at 8:15 p. m.
The sermon will be based on
Dr. Glazer's recent experiences
in the community.
The musical program will be
rendered by the Temple Quartet
with Julius Chajes directing and
Jason Tickton at the organ.
A social hour under the aus-
pices of the Sisterhood will fol-
low the service.

Speaking from experience as
chairman of the community re-
lations committee of the Jewish
Community Council, Rabbi Leon
Fram will devote his sermon
Friday' night, March 31, at 8:30,
in the Lecture Hall of 'the De-
troit Institute of Arts, to a dis-
cussion of the new art of diplo-
macy in contemporary Jewish
life.
The title of his sermon will
be "The Jewish Community
Council: How It Combats Anti-
Semitism and Builds Goodwill
for Detroit Jewry."
Rabbi Fram will relate his
experiences in encounters with
fanatical anti-Semites as well as
in securing the cooperation of
non-Jews in combatting preju-
dice and building goodwill.
He will explain techniques de-
veloped by the community re-
lations committee in the fight
against hate propaganda and
discrimination.
After the services there will
be a social hour in the Roman-
esque Hall under the auspices
of the Sisterhood. This _ service
is Temple Israel's contribution
to Jewish Community Council
Education Month.
This Friday night, Rabbi
Fram honors the 70th birthday
of Dr. Stephen S. Wise, by
preaching on the subject "Rabbi
Stephen S. Wise: What He
Means to America and to World
Jewry."

"Baptism by Fire" Film
At Jewish Center March 29
"Baptism by Fire", a film pro-
duced by the United States
Army, will be shown Wednesday,
March 29, at the Jewish Com-
munity Center. The film is an
authentic portrayal of American
forces in action. Two comedies
are also scheduled to be included
in the program. The showing will
start at 8:45 P.M. and will be
held in the Adult Lounge. All are
welcome.

War Workers' Spring
Festival on March 25

The War Workers of the Jew-
ish Community Center will have
a spring festival on March 25,
in the auditorium. There will be
special entertainment, -- music,
dancing and refreshments.

Marriage Course for
Girls at Jewish Center
A new Marriage Course for
girls is being held at the Jewish
Community Center on Thursday
evenings. Betty Koronsky directs
the group.

Pre-Passover Holiday
Hop at Center April 2
The seventh Holiday Hop of
the Jewish Community Center
will be a pre-Passover Dance on
Sunday, April 2, at 9 P. M. Russ
Weaver and his Orange-Blossom
Orchestra will play for the event.
Prizes will be given and refresh-
ments will be available.

Parochial School Sets
Examinations April 2

The parochial school spon-
sored by Yeshivath Chachmey
will hold examinations April 2.
The school announces that it is
in constant touch with the De-
troit Board of Education for
supervision. Registrations are
being taken at the school, Elm-
hurst and 14th Sts. Information

A Shabbos Club was organ-
ized by Yeshivath Chachmey
Lublin students. It meets from
