Meisels in Cultural Series

A capacity audience of over

songs in Yiddish and Hebrew.
In addition Mr. Scooler present-
ed a group of original comedy
monologues, while Mr. Meisels
offered a program of Yiddish and
Hebrew folk songs, several of
..them of recent composition.
This was the sixth in the se-
ries of programs presented by
the committee this year. • The
final program will be given dur-
ing Passover as a festival cele-
bration.
During the intermission on
Sunday, Louis Levine, who in-
troduced the program of the eve-
ning, presented a speaker from
the local chapter of the Amer-
ican Red Cross who made a plea
for blood donors. This had been
arranged by the war efforts com-
mittee of the Community Coun-
cil, and a considerable. number
of persons registered to donate
blood this month.
