ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Newman of Canterbury Rd. are plan-
ning to leave this Sunday for Hollywood, Fla., where they will visit
with Mrs. Newman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Rosenthal.
' Mrs. Herbert Meyer of Chicago Blvd. has returned from a 10-
day visit in New York City. She was accompanied by Miss Anne
Lowenstein of Mobile, Miss., who is a student at the University of
Michigan.
Mrs. Henry Soss of Muirland Ave. has returned from Williams-
-burg, Va., where she visited with her son, C/B Richard Soss.

Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Srere of Boston Blvd. and Mr. and Mrs.
Monte Wittleshofer, also of Boston Blvd., are spending several weeks
in. Los Angeles where they are guests at the Chapman Park Apt.

Mrs. Arthur W. Schlesinger of Boston Blvd. has returned from
an extended visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs.
Richard Greene of New Orleans, La.
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Mahler of. Whitmore Rd. are expected home
this Saturday from Palm Springs, Calif., where they spent the
last few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weisman of - Edison Ave. have returned
from a visit in Knoxville, Tenn.
S. T. Gilbert and his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Julius Gilbert of Arden Park, left last Monday for Los Angeles
where they will spend several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Miles Finsterwald of Balmoral Rd. returned on
Thursday from a visit in Palm Beach, Fla., and New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. David Hubar of Huntington Woods have returned
from Palm Springs, Calif., where they spent the last few weeks.

York City where she visited with her family.

. Mrs. Sidney Weiner of Chicago Blvd. has returned from a visit
with her husband, Pvt. Weiner, who is stationed at Camp Mead, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ginsburg of Chicago Blvd. have as their
guests Mrs. Ginsburg's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Blach of Birm-
ingham, Ala.
Mrs. Allan Tolich (Leanore Vass) will arrive on Sunday from

Boston, Mass., where she visited with her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Freshman of Woodingham Dr, entertained a
group of their friends at a dinner in their home last Sunday evening.
Miss Harriet Stern, daughter. of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Stern of
Philadelphia Ave., has returned to the Leland Powers School' in
Boston, after spending avacation , with her parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Cantor of Pasadena Ave., entertained
at a dinner last Sunday in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.
Miss Diane Pritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Pritz of
11650 Broadstreet, celebrated her sixteenth birthday on Sunday
with a party for 20 of her friends, at her home.
Lt. and Mrs. Jacob C. Rosengarten have arrived from Los An-
. geles, Calif., for a visit with their parents, relatives and friends. Lt.
Rosengarten is on leave between change of stations and was formerly
at Fort Lewis, Washington. He will be assigned to the 105th Evacua-
tion Hospital, Camp Young, Calif.
A sweet-sixteen night club party was given for eight couples
on Feb. 27 in honor of Audrey Gelfand of 2930 Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Max J. Kogan have returned from Boston, Mass.,
after attending the graduation exercises of their son, Cpl. Jay M.,
at the Massachusetts . Institute of Technology. Cpl. Kogan has re-
turned to Camp Sheridan, Maryland, to enter the Ordnance School
of Officers Candidates.
