ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Cpl. Yale David Coggan returned to Camp Murphy, Fla., after
spending a v,reek with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coggan of
Wildemere Ave. Lois Coggan returned to Michigan State College
after a week-end at home to see her brother, Yale. She had as her
guest Miss Barbara Eder, University of Michigan student.
Norma Lee Karbal of Webb Ave. was hostess to 15 couples on
Jan. 29, at the Book Casino, on the occasion of her 16th birthday.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Karbal, were hosts to the im-
mediate family at dinner that evening, also at the Book Casino.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Moss and Miss Beebe Gottesman left on
Feb. 1 for Tampa, Fla., to visit their son, Miss Gottesman's fiance,
Cpl. Leonard N. Moss, who is stationed at MacDill Field, Florida.
In honor of their daughter, Madeline's, graduation from Corn-
Merce High School, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Shiller, of Holcomb Ave.
gave a party at their home last Sunday evening for 40 boys and
girls. Miss Lukes, dramatic teacher of Commerce High, entertained
with recitations. A buffet supper was served. In their recent senior
play at Commerce High, Madeline starred in "Youth Adds a Dash
of Pepper."
Cpl. and Mrs. Herman Emmer (Bernice Vine) are on a 10-day
Visit with Mrs. Bessie Vine and other members of their family.
They will return to Drew Field, Tampa, Fla., where Cpl. Emmer
is stationed.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loewenberg have left for Miami Beach,
Fla., where they expect to remain until April.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Krause have left for a month's stay in
Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis R. Miller of 16886 LaSalle Blvd. returned
from New York City where they visited their son, Pfc. Louis Robert
Miller Jr., of the Army Air Force, who is attending Signal Corps
School at Fort Monmouth, N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Weil of 731 Covington Drive celebrated
their 30th wedding anniversary Feb. 3. Their son, Cpl. Warren L.
Weil, Coast Artillery Anti-Aircraft, cabled home informing his
family of his safe arrival overseas.

was the Auxiliary's day at the
USO. On March 1, the Auxiliary
and the Eli Levin Post will spon-
sor an affair at Elks Temple. The

Sinkoff, 2203 Clements.

On Feb. 9, the executive com-
mittee of Women's Auxiliary of
Jewish Home for Aged met at the
home of Mrs. Isadore E. GoOd-
•man of Sherbourne Road.
The annual meeting of the
Auxiliary will be held March 20,
at the Home for Aged, to elect
and install officers.

ganization, at a meeting on Jan.
31, voted relief for three orphans
in Jerusalem. Mrs. B. Feldman
was chosen a new vice-president.

Georgia. He has done post-grad-
uate work at New York Univer-
sity. He holds a position with
