Dr. Heller Named Chairman
Of United Palestine Appeal

Succeeds Dr. Silver Who Led Drive for Six Years; Agency
Seeks $14,000,000 for Rebuilding of Homeland;
United Jewish Appeal Sets 32 Million Goal

NEW YORK—Rabbi James G. Heller of Cincinnati has
been elected national chairman of the United Palestine Ap-
•I peal, American Jewry's central fund-raising instrument for
the rebuilding of the Jewish Homeland in Palestine, it was
announced Sunday at the all-day session at Hotel Commo-
dore of the National Council for Palestine attended by more
than 3,000 delegates from various parts of the U. S.
