Mrs. Walter Laib of Strathcona Dr. is expected home this
week-end from a fortnight's stay in New York City.
Mrs. Ben-Zion Gotlib has come from Columbus, Ga., to spend
a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tobin of Webb
Ave. Her husband, Pfc. Gotlib, who is stationed . at Fort Benning,
Ga., expects to join her the first week in February.
Mrs. Louis Morris of Oakman Ct. and Mrs. John 'merman of
Gloucester Dr. left on Sunday to spend the winter - months . in
Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Zemon of Roslyn Rd; returned on Thurs-
day from a week's stay in New York City.
Mrs. Warren Greenstone of Litchfield Ave. has left for Jack-
sonville, Fla., to be with her husband, Pvt. Greenstone, who is
stationed at Camp Blanding.
Mrs. Morris Baron of Tyler Ave. has returned from a week's
visit in New York City.
Complimenting Miss Juliette Goldberg, whose marriage to Dr.
Jacob J. Wechsler will take place on Feb. 20, Mrs. Joseph Fenton
of Oak Drive was hostess at a luncheon at the Women's City
Club last Saturday. Mrs. Irving Wartell and Mrs. Samuel Silver
of Oakman Ct. entertained with a dinner and shower at Mrs.
Wartell's home on LaSalle Blvd. last Tuesday evening. This Sat-
urday, Mrs. Harry 1VIetger of Atkinson Ave. will be hostess at
a luncheon at Huyler's in Miss Goldberg's honor. Next Tuesday,
Mrs. Lester Smith of Oak Drive and Mrs. Harry Platt of Birch-
crest Drive will give a shoWer, and on Thursday, Mrs. Howard
Einstein of the Lee Plaza will be hostess at a luncheon.
Pvt. Frank Gunsberg, who has been s t a t i o n e d at Camp
• Wallace, Texas, is spending his 12-day furlough with Mrs. Guns-
berg in their home on Genesee Ave., before leaving • for his new
post at Camp Mead, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Cohn of Fairfield Ave. are expected home
this week-end from an extended stay in Hot . Springs, Ark.
Mrs. Earl Freshman of Woodingham Drive left last Sunday
to spend 10 days in Chicago and Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fenton of Oak Drive will entertain a
group of their friends in their home this Saturday evening.
Pfc. Allan Emery Eizelman is spending his 10-day furlough
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Eizelman of Clements
Ave., before returning to his post at Hamilton Field, Calif.
Mrs. Simeon Cugell of Cortland Ave. is leaving Sunday for
„Miami Beach, Fla., where she will spend the next six weeks.
Edwin Moldof, who has been studying at the University of
Wisconsin, is spending a week with his uncle and aunt, Dr. and
Mrs. R. A. Coggan of Courville Ave., enroute to his home in New
York City where he will continue his studies at Columbia Univer-
sity.

activities and for war efforts.
