Program in Combatting Anti-
Semitism?" will be the theme of
Mr. Franck's address.
Ellmann to Preside
James I. Ellmann will preside
at this meeting, a brief portion
of which will be devoted to
Council business. Two members
of the executive committee will
be elected to fill the vacancies
caused by the resignation of
Mrs. Samuel Mendelssohn and
the departure from the city of
Rabbi Morris Adler who is now
a Chaplain in the U. S. Army.

Sisterhood Holds
Party Monday

Temple Israel Sisterhood will
hold its third annual card party,
at Kern's auditorium, at 1 p. m.
Monday, Mrs. S. B. Danto, presi-
dent, announced this week. A
dessert luncheon will be served

Michigan Alumni Club of, Al-
pha Omega Dental Fraternity, at
its installation .Of officers dinner
at the Book Cadillac Hotel on
Saturday evening, announced
that 85 of its 120 members are in
active service in the Army and
Navy Dental Corps'.
Nearly 60 per cent of the Jew-
ish dentists in Detroit are now
in service in the Army and Navy,
it was revealed at this gather-
ing.

given the Hanseatic Cross by
Adolf Hitler, who did not
knoW that Stern was a Jew.
Stern has given both medals to
the scrap drive:. Before he left
Germany, he worked in-the anti-
