KEYS Chairman, War Records Committee, Detroit Army and Navy Committee of Jewish Welfare Board Detroit's Honor Roll of Jewish men and women in the service of our country and the United Nations is now being compiled by the Bureau of War Records of the Detroit Army and Navy Committee of the Jewish Welfare Board. Of the more than 6,500 names assembled thus far, there is a complete record of about 2,000 men and women, their ranks, promotions, awards and acts of heroism. • • The necessary facts concerning more than 4,000 other Jewish servicemen are now being gathered. The list of these men and women appears in this issue of The Jewish News. Relatives and friends of the men and women listed here should make immediate use of the questionnaire appearing on Page 24 of this issue of The Jewish News in pro- Myron A. Key sviding the necessary information to the War Records Committee of the Detroit Army and Navy Com- mittee. • It is important, in the interest of our expanding services to the men and women in the armed forces, that our record should be completed as soon as possible. Our request of the parents and friends of our service- men is that they act at once in sending us the questionnaire appearing in this issue of The Jewish News and to secure additional questionnaires from the Army and Navy Com- mittee at the Jewish Community Center. • We owe a duty to the men and women in service, to our community and to posterity, to preserve a true and complete record of Jewish participation in this war. In the future, such a record can do much to shatter the baseless charges of Fascists — foreign and domestic. Such a record will always be a source of pride to the Jews of the world.
